Equality Objectives

Lincolnshire Wolds Federation is committed to ensuring Equal Opportunities and aims to create a working environment in which all individuals are able to make best use of their skills, free from discrimination or harassment, and in which all decisions are based on merit.  We demonstrate this throughout our work within our schools, wider community and recruitment and retention of our staff team.  This is highlighted through our shared Mission Statement, to provide an inspiring, purposeful and personalised education for all every day, in order to support learning for life and working for the future, and are accountable to the following shared values to enable students to dream, believe and ACHIEVE.

As part of LWCT, we ensure every student is entitled to the same opportunities to learning irrespective of race, culture, gender, language, disability or religion.

The policy is written with regard to the following legislation; The Equality Act 2010 and The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) Regulations 2011.  Click here to read our full Inclusion and Equal Opportunities Policy

Within LWF we cater for students with a variety of barriers to their learning.  Our aim is to work with our students, alongside their families and other professionals to address these barriers.  The importance of equality and understanding discrimination and its impact are addressed through the curriculum offer and in line with our ethos.

Our aims are to:

Ensure all students have an equal chance to access the education and opportunities the schools offer

Encourage a positive attitude towards all

To meet all students additional  needs

Encourage the physical, cultural, moral and spiritual development of all students

Encourage respect and tolerance for others

Encourage engagement from and in the wider community

Our equality objectives are:

To tackle prejudice and promote understanding in relation to people with disabilities

To promote spiritual, moral, social and cultural development through all appropriate curricular and extra-curricular opportunities

To continue to narrow the gap between vulnerable groups, including, those eligible for pupil premium and those that are not

To promote cultural development and understanding through a rich range of experience, both in and beyond the schools
